It’s been computed that 69% of patients with anorexia and 33% of patients with bulimia have been diagnosed with OCD tendencies. In general, women that suffer from anorexia along with OCD may become obsessed with exercise, dieting, and food. Patients with bulimia have a tendency to suffer from things like phobias, panic attacks and post-traumatic stress defects. .
Children that have been criticised for things throughout their youth have a much greater chance of developing eating disorders. According to recent studies, mums of bulimic patients are commonly critical and detached, as where mums of anorexic patients tend to be over-involved in their child’s life. It is also common for folk with eating abnormalities to have parents with an alcohol or drug use problem. .
Anorexia
Avoidant and dependent personality disorders are most commonly observed in patients with anorexia. Folk with these abnormalities are scared of being let down, humiliated or criticized. Another standard characteristic related to anorexia is depression, which is generally more terrible in winter months. .
Bulimia
